2006-12-14 [Jessika Maria.]: I'm at school. It blocked elftown..or it DID! ahahaha it work! Thank you! *wonders about Elftown happily, waving her "Elftown Always Wins!" flag about*
2006-12-17 [you can all die.]: have any of you wondered why elftown is being blocked? could it posibly have some thing to do with 12 year olds asking almost every one to cyber with them?
2006-12-17 [Sunrose]: You never reported anyone, so I'm wondering what you're basing that statement on.
2006-12-18 [xido]: *destroys [you can all die.] for being quirky, and continues on his barbarian rampage to destroy many small children's schools*
2006-12-18 [you can all die.]: there is no real point in reporting people, if they get baned all they do is make a new account and keep doing what ever the hell they want. the "gaurds" i've delt with do nothing except delete pictures, even some of mine that were not breaking any of the uploading art rules, that really kind of pisses me off. so now tell me, how well is this site really run? and [xido], go ahead destroy me when your not even close to the town i live in throue a computer, lets see how well that works.
2006-12-18 [Sunrose]: So basically you are just shouting around some allegations without any proof to base it on. Mostly because a Guard deleted illegal images from your house and it pissed you off. Which actually means you yourself are one of those people you're complaining about :)
2006-12-18 [Artsieladie]: [you can all die.]...It has been my experience in life that those who do the least, contribute the least, complain the most. Unfortunately, we live in a world that's lost its moral compass. Therefore, kids are being spawned of this. What else does anyone expect? There is no way to control the thoughts of others, including kids. Besides, if there's aspects about Elftown you do not like, you have 2 choices: #1: You can leave, for no one is holding you here by force. #2: Seek a positive way to to make a situation you're unhappy with better. Mankind was given free will to either be a plus or a negative in this world. Before you put others down, put yourself in their shoes, first. If you're going to talk the talk, then you best be prepared to walk the walk! Idle hands of idle minds produce little if anything.
2006-12-18 [you can all die.]: [Sunrose], its really hard to steal art from yourself so, unless the gairds that i had to deal with can give me a reson why they deleted my pictues(wich were in complience witht the uploading art rules), they had no right to do it, all they have is the power to do so.
i am leaving this place.
2006-12-18 [Artsieladie]:
2006-12-18 [Sunrose]: Which image would you be referring to? As far as I can tell all of the removed images were not (completely) self made.
Also, when you feel that injustice has been done to you, reverting to verbal abuse of said Guard is not the best way to convince us.
And sure, if you feel happier elsewhere, that's your prerogative.
2006-12-18 [Hedda]: [you can all die.] is free to prove that he drew
and that he owns VG Cats, but until then you can just feel sorry for the guards that have to speak to people like that.
As for the text-images he made by himself: They are still against the rules because they are boring images that we don't want here. It's in the rules, but he thinks it's more important to write insults to the guards than to read.
2006-12-18 [you can all die.]: with that picture, theres this magical thing called Adobe, it lets you edit pictures, mabe you've heard of it.
2006-12-18 [Sunrose]: Editing an image doesn't make it yours..
2006-12-19 [Jessika Maria.]: I have just read all of this stuff and I feel horriblely bad for the guards. Well all I can say is Keep up the good work with keeping annoying people off of ET one idiot at a time. =)
Have a great day!
2006-12-20 [xido]: you can all die.: "and [xido], go ahead destroy me when your not even close to the town i live in throue a computer, lets see how well that works."
*Orc-[xido] turns to look at romping, stomping, angry child and grunts in return*
Quoth Orc-[xido]: "Ugh."
2007-01-04 [Sunrose]: Comment deleted, there's no need to continue the argument 2 weeks after.
2007-01-04 [Ω♥broken heart slayer♥Ω]: What?! You're actually telling kids to use proxies?!
2007-01-05 [DarkLogickX]: my apologies sunrose. and i think i have to agree with junkanoo on this one, most schools that i've ever been to you get in trouble for so much as even changing the desktop background. i would hate to see what kind of punishment would wait in store for someone caught changing the connection settings on a government piece of property
2007-02-07 [light.]: You know, I could be way off my rocker here, but one of the reasons ET could be getting banned from schools is the fact that a lot of people (and by that I mean the younger more irresponsible side of Elftown) have been using it as a chat site ever since Myspace, Facebook, Hotmail, etc, have been banned. I know from personal experience actually (before I started straighting my act ;D) that some people only use it to get around their school work.
But, like I said, I could be way off base. ^_^
2007-02-08 [Hedda]: [light.]: If a school bans a site because their students are talking to each other on it... Well, I don't have words for stupid that idea is for many reasons.
I guess they have banned math-books too, as students mostly use those books for stuff they aren't meant for. That would explain a lot.
2007-02-08 [Ocean Soul]: In my school only pages with "mature content" were banned. That would include Elftown though, I guess >>
2007-02-08 [Lothuriel]: I guess the schools are afraid the students might see boobies while at school instead of on tv.....
2007-02-08 [light.]: ...They ban sites that take away from their so called education system. If students are spending too much time on the site instead of learning, they block it.
2007-02-08 [Lothuriel]: Um, I know that.
2007-02-08 [Mortified Penguin]: My school banned Elftown when students started using it to send messages to each other...
...And math books are mainly used for learning. Had Elftown been teaching students things, I'm sure it would have been different...
The only ridiculous thing my school's ever done is ban my MSN stocks... those bastards! ...that was just uncalled for! How am I supposed to check Dow now?!
2007-02-08 [Lothuriel]: But Elftown does teach things to students. There are plenty of educational benefits to Elftown.
2007-02-08 [Mortified Penguin]: All I've learned from Elftown is basic HTML... as well as some other useless computer skills...
2007-02-08 [light.]: Yus, but do teachers know that? ;D
Hence if students /show/ them that, Elftown will no longer be banned.
2007-02-08 [Lothuriel]: Tons of art tutorials, essays, and writing tutorials.
2007-02-08 [Mortified Penguin]: If students show them that, they will get in trouble for being on a banned website and disrupting class.
2007-02-08 [Mortified Penguin]: Our school administrators know us students too well... we're only here to chat and look at adult material...
2007-02-08 [Lothuriel]: Haha, well it was worth a try.
2007-02-08 [light.]: Not all schools are like that though. Basically, Teachers see students on a site that is disrupting their work, (be it educational or not) and they get told to exit it. They keep going on it, it gets banned.
Teachers/Schoo
2007-02-08 [light.]: Some teachers/schoo
2007-02-08 [Lothuriel]: That's when you give them this stop blocking Elftown
2007-02-08 [light.]: ...That's a very angry letter xD
I was just trying to help reason why elftown is getting blocked in the first place.
2007-02-08 [Mortified Penguin]: "This is done because the school feels that it's very bad for the students to learn how to read and write properly..." Almost everything on Elftown has some form of grammatical error in it...
2007-02-12 [Lousiffer]: its still bullshit, the only thing that should honestly be banned in school is the pron websites other than that, give me a break.... blocking myspace WTF!!!! fuck schools for that!!
2007-02-13 [Remos Page]: well there are some teachers on this site ,
see if they can help out
2007-02-13 [Mortified Penguin]: Teachers aren't the ones banning 'sites...
2007-02-13 [Lothuriel]: But, isn't My Space a porn site?
2007-02-17 [xido]: "2007-02-12 Lousiffer: its still bullshit, the only thing that should honestly be banned in school is the pron websites other than that, give me a break.... blocking myspace WTF!!!! fuck schools for that!!"
Loussifer, Please don't be an asshole! If you feel strongly, choose kinder words to emote those feelings.

2007-02-17 [Lothuriel]: Gah!! Does anyone in Elftown have a sense of humor anymore? I am well aware that MySpace is not a porn site. I am very well aware of its every stinking detail. I also think it is a safe haven for child molestors, kiddie porn, Juvenile delinquents and art thieves. I just didn't feel much like going in to great detail with that statement, redundant question, whatever you choose to call it.
2007-04-19 [xido]: I see.... Well, that is why we need audible posts, so I can catch those wonderful nuances of humor... Though I admit, I missed it. XP
